Apples The principal output of Dacha Farms is apples, and they are our first priority in development. Our goal is to develop an orchard ranging from 200 to 1000 trees, depending upon available resources and market demand. As of yet, we have not determined what types of apples we intend to produce. We will spend most of 2008 studying regional fruit markets to assess which apple varietals are most in demand. Once the orchard is cleared, the animal control measures are in place, and the resources are available, we will begin planting the types of apple trees that our studies indicate will be in long term demand. We hope to target fruit manufacturers like those who need apples for drink or spread production as well as local bakeries. We are currently accepting input from regional businesses who anticipate interest in our apples.
